HAPPY HOMEOWNERS: JESSE & SARAH’S ROSSEAU REBUILD

Sarah and Jesse had achieved their dreams. A young couple living in Southwestern Ontario, they had purchased their very first home together. Everything changed when a devastating fire left them with nothing, but they were then presented with an opportunity: to turn this tragedy into a fresh start, and build their dream home on the property they have loved and lived on for many years.

Like many Happy Homeowners, their story started at a Quality Homes Sales Centre. Having read so many amazing reviews online and learning that there was a Quality Homes location near them, they were excited to book an appointment to start their new home journey.

Meeting with their Building Consultant, Nancy, they felt an instant connection. But more importantly, they felt heard. “As we walked through our vision and shared our story, she continually reassured us that everything we hoped for was achievable and that the team would make it happen,” Sarah and Jesse shared, “It quickly became clear that this was a company that truly stands behind its work and genuinely values its customers.”

THE CUSTOM ROSSEAU DESIGN

Choosing a floorplan can be challenging, especially when seeing how many incredible designs Quality Homes has to offer. At their Building Consultant’s recommendation, Jesse and Sarah chose to begin their modular home build with The Rosseau, a classic Quality design.

Of course, the beauty of modular building is the customization.

“Our biggest piece of advice would be to really trust the process and trust the team you’re working with. Go in with some guidelines for what you want, but also be open to recommendations—some of our best decisions came from suggestions we hadn’t even considered at the start.”

With Nancy’s help, they were able to make exactly the adjustments they needed to create their dream home. By adding a walk-in pantry and opening one of the kitchen walls, Jesse and Sarah’s floorplan could better accommodate their lifestyle. Now, the mudroom directly connects the kitchen and their added garage, so that they can kick off their shoes and put the groceries away with ease.

Once their plan was confirmed, it was time for Jesse and Sarah to take on the most exciting part of their home design: choosing their finishes.

THE QUALITY HOMES JOURNEY

As they were living without an existing home, Sarah and Jesse were eager to get their new home completed as soon as possible. With how speedy the Quality Homes process is, it can sometimes feel like a flurry. There are a lot of steps being completed very quickly, however, “Thankfully, the entire process was clearly communicated and easy to follow. Everyone involved was incredibly supportive, and the personal touches along the way made the experience not just manageable, but genuinely enjoyable.”

But not every build goes off without a hitch. Thankfully, the Quality Homes Team is incredibly experienced at navigating the many moving parts of the homebuilding process, including our dedicated Permit Coordinator, Kimberley.

“We faced quite a few unexpected hurdles as we navigated the building and permitting process. Kimberly was absolutely incredible throughout it all. She went above and beyond for us, patiently walking us through every detail—even multiple times—always with such kindness and grace. There were so many evenings when she’d check in after what must have been a long day for her, just to make sure we were on track and had everything we needed to keep things moving.”

Once permitting was in place and their new custom Rosseau was underway in the Quality Homes factory, the real magic started. And when the time came for their personal factory visit, Jesse and Sarah were so excited to have the opportunity to see their home coming to life.

After having lost their original home in a fire, this chance to watch their dreams become reality, right in front of their eyes, was incredibly special. “We loved getting the chance to see our home in the factory before it was delivered. It added even more excitement leading up to delivery day and became a really special memory for us.”

Though of course, Delivery Day itself is the most exciting one of all. And it’s not just Sarah and Jesse that were excited! “Watching the trucks arrive and seeing our home being placed onto its foundation was incredible. The level of skill and teamwork on display was impressive, and it was clear how much the crew genuinely cared. You could feel their excitement for us, too.” And that’s because we walk every step of the journey with our homebuyers—your challenges are ours, and so are your celebrations.

And just like that, Jesse and Sarah were finally home.

REFLECTING ON THEIR ROSSEAU REBUILD

Settled into their new home and restarting their life after the fire, Jesse and Sarah both adore their new Rosseau. When we asked what their favourite part of their home was, they responded with our favourite thing to hear! “It’s honestly hard to pick a favourite because we truly love our home and everything about it. But if we had to choose, we’d say the main living area. The natural light along with the vaulted ceilings and the open-concept layout creates such a bright, welcoming space.”
